The goal of OrthoPose is to develop an AI-based analysis tool for markerless motion capture, which will be integrated directly as an extension of the OrthoLoad database.
While OrthoLoad provides unique in vivo measurement data, the majority of the documented activities only feature video footage without accompanying 3D kinematics.
The core of our project is to close this gap: OrthoPose uses purely two-dimensional video data to determine precise three-dimensional motion sequences. This AI-powered reconstruction drastically increases the value of the existing datasets and unlocks a new level of biomechanical analysis.
